For a customer who is giving it to her friend who has a new puppy, so his first Valentine. The puppy is a tiny black ball of fur, you cannot see his eyes or nose, it is just hair. Black dogs are difficult and I did not want a black blob of nothing ... so I used blacks with navy blue to paint this pup. The background is done with the colour burst ... such beautiful colours. This is ultramarine blue. I added the die cut of stacked hearts and kept a few of the hearts in it, which I painted using the pearl watercolours. I embossed the heart then added Wink of Stella to the hearts. Some Nuvo Jewel Drops and sequins finished this card. Thank you for looking. aplaceforkia

This is precious! I also, made a first Valentine for my grandson’s new pug. Inside the card I stamped a large heart and stamped bones all over it. I also made Heart cookies, decorated them and mailed to CA. I made two cookies from a dog cookie cutter but made it known that the dog was not to eat the cookies😧. She appears to be eating slippers anyway! Love your doggie card, Kia!

Whoa!!! I LOVE this card and your great technique with the Colorburst...as well as the way you decided to color the little black ball-of-fur pup to allow the detail to be seen....
BUT I also just got a glimpse of your gallery. I'm short on time this morning, but cannot wait to get back to this wonderful gallery later today with a cup of coffee and plenty of time to browse, enjoy, and definitely add several of your creations to my Favorites. You are one talented stamper! TFS

OMGosh this is fabulous! The background is exquisite...such rich, rich colors...love the Colorburst watercolor effect and the slant stitching on your bg panel. The heart bg overlay with the small heart and pearlized inlays add such dimension. Then, we come that darn cute puppy with this embossed heart backdrop (not to mention a favorite of mine...sequins!) Kia, this is such a pleasure to gaze on...I had to spend time study each detail!

Oh, Kia, how absolutely darling! I just love this little puppy who seems to be saying, "Pick me, pick me!!" I love the beautiful die and color, and what an amazing idea (of course, you are an artist) to use ultramarine blue so this sweet pup is not a blob! Darling, and she surely loved it (and so did he too -- hehe!). Warm hugs, precious friend! xoxo

Kia, you've added so many wonderful elements to your card it is a delight to see. Certainly the puppy takes center stage but the heart theme you've included really adds to the feeling of sweetness, and the gorgeous blue background makes it all pop!
